"Our highest endeavor must be to develop creative and responsible human beings who are able to deal with diverse situations and to direct their lives with purpose"
                                                                                     ----Rudolf Steiner

Rudolf Steiner (1861 - 1925) was born in Austria. A university student of mathematics, science and philosophy in Vienna, he later earned a doctorate from the University of Rostock. His many accomplishments include the initiation of Anthroposophy (knowledge of man) Waldorf education. Anthroposophical Medicine, Organic Architecture, Biodynamic farming and an approach to the care and education of the handicapped and an art of movement called Eurythmy.

Rudolf Steiner Schools have existed in many parts of the world since 1919. Steiner education is multi-dimensional, appealing to all the faculties. For the young child, it is the 'all' that matters, rather than exceptional proficiency in one aspect. We want complete rounded personalities whose special gifts are nourished from a fuller source.

Steiner education is truly a part of a universal understanding of the child. It is applicable to each child, irrespective of cultural roots, language, religious beliefs or geographical setting. Anthroposophy - the knowledge of the human being -- is the basis of Steiner education.
